REFLEKSI PERKULIAHAN FILSAFAT PENDIDIKAN MATEMATIKA 17 DESEMBER 2012

Perkuliahan Filsafat Pendidikan Matematika oleh dosen kami, Prof. Dr. Marsigit diawali dengan ujian yang berkaitan dengan filsafat dan tokoh-tokohnya. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan mahasiswa dipersilahkan untuk mengajukan pertanyaan tentang sesuatu yang belum diketahui. Disini Pak Marsigit akan menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan tersebut. Semua mahasiswa mengumpulkan pertanyaannya masing-masing. Tetapi karena keterbatasan waktu, maka tidak semua pertanyaan tersebut dapat terjawab. Berikut adalah uraian pertanyaan yang mendapatkan jawaban.

MATHAMATICS TEACHING ACROSS MULTICULTURAL CONTEXTS

I. INTRODUCTION
Based multicultural education is important applied in an educational system. The meaning of the word itself is multicultural diversity. Thus, based multicultural education is education for or about the diversity of cultures in response to changing demographic and cultural environment of certain communities or even the world as a whole. Through-based multicultural education, attitudes and thinking more open students are expected to understand and appreciate the diversity that can change the thinking of learners to truly sincere respect for differences of ethnicity, religion, race, and Intergroup.

Membudayakan matematika di sekolah mempunyai aspek-aspek pemahaman tentang hakekat matematika, hakekat matematika sekolah, hakekat pendidikan matematika, hakekat nilai matematika, hakekat belajar matematika, hakekat proses belajar mengajar matematika, hakekat pembuyayaan matematika sekolah. Secara material, maka obyek matematika dapat berupa benda-benda kongkrit, gambar atau model kubus, berwarna-warni lambang bilangan besar atau kecil, kolam berbentuk persegi, atap rumah berbentuk limas, piramida-piramida di Mesir, kuda-kuda atap rumah berbentuk segitiga siku-siku, roda berbentuk lingkaran, dst.

Meningkatkan tingkat intelektual rakyat dan memajukan kesejahteraan umum sebagaimana diamanatkan dalam Pembukaan UUD 1945 selalu menjadi keprihatinan utama dari Pemerintah Indonesia.

Realistic Mathematics stressed to construction of the context of concrete objects as a starting point for students to acquire mathematical concepts. Concrete objects and environment objects
around can be used as a context for learning mathematics in building relevance of mathematics through social interaction. Concrete objects manipulated by students within the framework of efforts to support students in the process matematisasi concrete to abstract. Students should be given opportunities to construct and produce mathematics in a manner and language of their own. Necessary reflection activities of social activity that can occur integration and strengthening the relationship between subject of understanding the structure of mathematics.
